The goal is a safe, recoverable, locally controlled and calibrated 3D-printing workflow. The AI agent does the technical work; the person stays responsible only for physical and safety-critical actions.
- Discover: identify the exact printer, firmware, network path, current software, slicer, nozzle, plate and filament.
- Protect: back up printer configuration and slicer profiles, verify the backup and prepare rollback instructions.
- Set up: install only the supported local control tools the printer actually needs, connect the slicer and create clean user profiles.
- Tune: print a baseline, calibrate one variable at a time and verify the result with matching photos and measurements.
Not every printer needs root, Moonraker or Fluidd. The agent must choose the supported equivalent for the exact machine. Firmware flashing, factory resets, hardware modifications and public internet access are outside the default task.
